Yeah, that’s right, a roll call !
I’ve been writing this blog for about 3 months now. The main goal was to force myself to analyze my game and I felt that by sharing my progress (or lack of it) and therefore being accountable to the interweb would help me improve my game. I was by no means looking for any recognition or attention, just simply it was a good way for me to concentrate on my game.
I feel that I am currently achieving that aim – When I started this blog, I was playing at $10NL with a $280 bankroll, and was (just about) a winning player, but with some leaks in my game. I am now at $25NL with a $700 bankroll and am beating the game with an above average winrate (albeit a small sample so far) So far so good.
This roll call is to encourage lurkers to say holla, crtitique my play, give me some encouragement, tell me I’m an idiot, anything !! I’m serious about getting good at poker and moving up the stakes to at least $200NL and I’d really appreciate some feedback, analysis, HH discussion, motivation, call it what you want, from like-minded people or players who are already where I’m trying to get to ! I play full-ring and so full-ring players (are there any others ?!) are especially welcome
GL at the tables !

Answering roll call:
I’m Here!
You are one of the blogs I have started checking more often. I am at $10 NL and am losing slightly. I will continue learning and growing, you are ahead of me for now but I find inspiration in your blog. Keep it up!

Keep up the good play and your rewards will be plentiful – YOU CAN DO IT!
At the moment I’m focusing on not playing, when I’m unlikely to be playing at my best.
Although limiting my options to win the odd game now and then and drastically reducing my FPP collection rate which will put more pressure on me to earn my bonus on time I’m hoping it will improve my stats dramatically. So I should be seeing far more cashes and far less losses due to tilted or tired play. So far it appears to be working, only played two games (one online, one offline) in the last two days, and won both of them.
Got my eyes on the $5 NL sit-n-go’s, but not going to sit my first one until I’ve reached $75 and if I loose that I’ll hang around on the $1’s until I earn $80 and so on. Currently I’m at just under $60 so someways to go yet.

Hi Jackie – Thanks for posting and good luck with your challenge. Seems you have a plan
luckystraights – cheers for the encouragement ! If you start to get serious about SNG’s there’s some software you really need to get hold of called SNG Power tools. It will really improve your game, particularly when the blinds get big and you should be either pushing or folding preflop. GL

Thanks for the tip, I’ll look into it.

luckystraights: – Yes that’s the one. For the theory behind it, google “Independent chip model” If you can master that, you will crush the games. – GL!
7_ofone: – Thanks for the comments – Wow, $50k ?! You must have been doing domething right, but how did you lose it so quickly ?! Tilt / taking a shot I suppose ? Oh well, I’m sure you’ve learned from that and you’ll rebuild no problem. Keep in touch, it’s good to have some support !
elcattivo – Hi matey, yeah I’m hoping to hit $1k anytime soon and moving up to $50NL. Watch this space
GL at the tables everyone and feel free to comment on the hands I post.

I was wondering what ICM stood for, thanks
I’ve considered commenting on some of your hands before, but you always seem to have covered everything I am likely to say, and I guess I don’t want to look like an idiot. I’ll make an effort in the future.
